Happy New Year! Surprising no one, I have been extremely ill. So extremely ill that I genuinely do not want to get into the details. No, I am not better. No, I do not know when I’m better. I basically couldn’t work for all of December, and I don’t mean “couldn’t work on this,” I mean couldn’t work. We made rent this month because I have a loving father with a very good government pension.
However, despite my scant work, my quality was high enough that I received a promotion at work. That’s gonna continue being my priority; it kind of has to be because I need money to pay rent and buy food and such things. That’s all just to explain where I’ve been and why there’s been noooo updates basically since the website went live.
However, I’ve decided that if I don’t have time for a great deal of creative work, I can at least start a monster project that can be done slowly in the background, and that is: uploading Keeping Secrets so it can be read on my website. I will be doing this sporadically and setting them to publish regularly in an attempt to create the illusion of regular updates, and also so that you guys have something to engage with if you want. The chapters will be lightly edited for their website debut. Earlier chapters will probably have a bit more work done on them, because as with all artists, I absolutely hate my earlier work. The content itself won’t be changed, however; think of it like that thing webcomic artists do where they redraw their first chapter(s) after the story has been going for years and years.
I’d like to thank everyone for being patient with me, especially considering you had no idea what in the hell was going on. The various stories here will be ongoing, I just have to get my feet under me, and I will be totally honest with you guys: that may take some time. I hope that the uploads of old (and new???) KS chapters will keep you guys entertained during this difficult transition period.
