Hello, and welcome to ElvenSemi.com, the website for all writing by ElvenSemi (me). Here you’ll find webnovels of various genres, short stories, and even fanfic (eventually). While there is material suitable for various ages on ElvenSemi.com, it is primarily an 18+ website. Please do not access any 18+ material if you are under the age of consent in your home country.
I write a variety of stories here, dictated by my heart and also people who pay me money. Some of it is free for the public (for instance, all of the fanfic, forever) and some of it is for my paid supporters (support me via Patreon for access!). I made this website so it could be viewed more easily by my supporters, fans, and any of their curious friends. Welcome!
What’s a webnovel?
Here at ElvenSemi.com, I primarily write webnovels. A webnovel is a format of story, just like “novella” or “short story.” A webnovel is a form of web fiction; web fiction is written works of literature available primarily or solely on the Internet. Webnovels or web serials are long, ongoing works of web fiction that are in the style of old serial stories that were once published regularly in newspapers and magazines. (Fun fact, one of my short stories, My Life in Albrie, is deliberately in the style of a newspaper serial!) Basically, a webnovel is a long story you read online that’s published in chunks as it’s written, like an old serial.
About the Paywall
Let’s address the elephant in the room: some of my content is paywalled. I work two jobs plus writing, and the more I make from my writing, the more time I have to do it. All of my content is available for $5/month. In the future, I hope to publish big eBook collections for people who prefer to buy one book at a time, but at the moment, this is the model that works best for me as someone who likes to write extremely long, ongoing stories. It is absolutely fine if you don’t have the money for yet another $5 subscription. Please enjoy all of my free work, of which there is lots and which I am still writing! There will also soon be a tip jar where you can make one-time donations to support specific stories you want to see more of.
About the Settings
I’m the kind of person who likes exploring a single concept to absolute death. Because of that, I love writing in shared universes, and writing a lot of stories in them! For some of my stories, you’ll see a “Settings” category on the story page. That means it’s written in some kind of a shared or repeated universe! Eventually, there will be pages for each of those settings, but this is a beta website and I’m on a deadline, so in short:
- Oceanside: A fantasy world created by YouTuber DarkandTwistedWhisper, primarily for his ASMR content. Twisted has a YouTube and a Patreon (with attached Discord) with even more Oceanside content. I’ve worked with Twisted in the past and he was generous enough to let me play around in his sandbox. What I write may or may not be canon depending on specific details, but I try to play it as accurate as I can with the knowledge I have!
- Valesport / Aeris: Both Valesport and Aeris are shared universes I have with Kitty Unpretty (another writer of web fiction!) and others. You can actually read all the original material on Alonimi, the roleplaying website run by Unpretty! For free! There’s even a directory I made to make it easier, because navigating unfamiliar forums is terrifying. Much like with Oceanside, knowledge of the base material isn’t necessary to read what’s hosted here, but you might find it enjoyable!
About Fanfiction
I also write fanfiction! Right now, it’s all hosted on Ao3, which I love, but I do eventually plan to host (some of) it here as well, for ease of access and also to have a backup. I expect that to be a long process, though. There’s a lot of it!
All fanfiction, hosted here or elsewhere, will always and forever be 100% free to read for anyone. It will never be put behind a paywall. If you see any of my fanfiction in a place other than here or Ao3, that is not me.
